West Allis, Wisconsin, January 31, 2018 – Fat Tuesday is just around the corner and everyone at Grebe’s Bakery is
hard at work getting ready to produce 50,000+ perfect paczki in honor of Paczki Day!
The paczki was traditionally enjoyed the day before Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent. Fat Tuesday earned
its name thanks in large part to these sweet, fried treats which were made by using up the remaining eggs, sugar
and other ingredients during this religious fasting period.
Stop in to Grebe’s Bakery on Fat Tuesday, February 13 for our annual Paczki Day celebration! Visitors to the
bakery, located at 5132 W. Lincoln Avenue in West Allis, will have the chance to “get their polka on” with the
Wisconsin Polka Boosters Queen and can snag limited edition Grebe’s paczki t-shirts. Check out Grebe’s Facebook
page for our Fat Tuesday promotion – customers will have the chance to win a $100.00 Grebe’s Bakery gift card!
With 12 paczki varieties, including our NEW Key lime paczki, we’re sure to have your favorite flavor! Other paczki
options include caramel iced apple, sugared raspberry, chocolate iced custard, and of course, the traditional
prune, all wrapped in a heavenly fried dough.
“Paczki Day is one of our most popular days at the bakery, with lines forming out the door!” said Brandon Grebe,
President and Co-Owner of Grebe’s Bakery.
These extremely limited-run paczki are available for in-store purchase Monday, February 12th and Tuesday,
